What is the procedure?
Thermography is a method of measurement of skin temperature distribution on the body over a given period of time. The various biochemical processes in the human body generate heat, which must be dissipated. Skin is the major route for heat dissipation using blood as the heat exchange fluid. Skin temperature is an indicator of aberrations in metabolism, vascular and nervous systems as well as muscular skeletal issues.
By way of an infra-red thermal imaging camera and the appropriate software we are able to see hot or cold areas in the body showing themselves as asymmetries, there by indicating health problems.
STEP ONE:
COOLING TIME
You sit in a temperature-controlled room to allow your body to cool from any external conditions. During this time we go over the questionnaire with you.
STEP TWO:
PICTURES TAKEN
You're positioned in front of a Thermal Imaging Camera, and the technician takes digital pictures. You will be able to see yourself "live" on the computer screen.
STEP Three:
PICTURES Analyzed
Your pictures are sent out to a certified physician for analysis.
STEP Four:
Findings
You'll receive a report of findings in your mail shortly thereafter. This will help you and your health care provider determine any next steps.
